Drager Tubes

The Dräger-Tube system is an established method for measuring and detecting contaminants in the soil, water and air. The Dräger-Tube method of measurement is used for investigating soil pollution, for investigating liquid samples, and for air analysis.

More than 500 substances can be detected and measured using the Dräger-Tube system. Typical applications include the monitoring of workplace air, emission measurements, quality control, process control and monitoring of compressed air for breathing apparatus, as well as environmental and hazardous substance detection applications..

Short-Term Measurements with Dräger-Tubes
For short-term measurements more than 160 Dräger-Tubes are available to measure the so-called spot concentrations of specific gases. A wide range of different gases and vapours can be detected and measured, e.g.: Determining and measuring concentration peaks, Measuring personal exposure in the inhalation area, Detecting leaks in pipelines, gas installations etc., and Air analysis in sewers, shafts and confined spaces.

Long-Term Measurements
For long-term measurements various direct-reading Dräger-Tubes and systems are available: Dräger long-term tubes, Dräger diffusion tubes, and Dräger badges. These direct-reading measuring systems can be used to determine average concentrations over periods of several hours. They are typically used during a work shift of up to eight hours. Long-term tubes are used together with the intrinsically safe Polymeter constant flow pump. Organic and inorganic gases and vapours can be recorded in the form of personal or stationary measurements.

Gas Detector Pumps
As a completion to the Dräger Tubes different Dräger gas detector pumps have been developed to suit specific applications. With this pump the air sample will be drawn through the Dräger Tube stroke per stroke. Draeger Sampling Tubes & Badges
Dräger Sampling Tubes and Badges are used to perform substance identification and measurement where complex mixtures are present, or where several very similar substances are present at the same time. The contaminants in the air are first collected by adsorption or chemisorption on a suitable medium such as activated charcoal or silica gel. The sample is then analysed both qualitatively and quantitatively in a laboratory. Flow Check
In order to improve indoor climate conditions, air conditioning systems are tested and adjusted. For this purpose, it is increasingly important that air currents be detected and localized.

With this instrument, even the slightest air movements become visible. Flow-Check is ideal for checking ventilation or air conditioning systems, chimneys, smoke detectors and detecting leaks in industrical equipment. Flow-Check air current tester produces clouds of smoke that are adapted to the specific weight of air. These harmless clouds of smoke float freely and are carried away by the slightest air currents.

This handy devide can be safely applied wherever necessary.

CMS: the Electronic Tube System
The Dräger CMS is a Dräger Chip Measurement System and is one of the most accurate and reliable portable detection systems currently available for measuring spot concentrations.

It combines an electronic based analyzer with substance specific chips. The 10 capillaries on each chip are filled with a reagent system based on Draegers 60+ years experience in colometric chemistry. More than 55 gas-specific chips are available. The results of 50 measurements can be stored in a DataRecorder integrated in the analyzer, together with relevant data, i.e. measurement substance, concentration, date, time and site of measurement.
