The secondary conditioner pictured here is an accessory to the ENERAC Emissions Probe and it is designed to remove and residual water vapor from the stack gas as it exits the conditioning system of the Emission Probe.
It is recommended to use the secondary conditioner in situations where the stack gases contain excessive amounts of moisture or where the ambient temperature drops below 50 degree F.
The secondary conditioner is designed to attach by means of quick disconnects between the emissions probe and the hose assembly as shown in the picture.
When the blue dyed desiccant (silica gel) changes to pink-white it would be replaced. The secondary conditioner has limited water removal capability and should always be used together with the Emissions Probe.
